What to Expect

All of our pet care services begin with a complimentary initial consultation - our Meet & Greet.  We want you and your pets to feel comfortable with us.  The Meet & Greet allows us an opportunity to meet you and your pets and to find out a little more about your specific needs.  This consultation should be scheduled as soon as possible and at least 1 week before you engage our services.  Please allow 30-45 minutes for the consultation.  During the Meet & Greet, we will:

STEP 1 Answer all of your questions regarding our services.

STEP 2 Fill out the necessary forms and paperwork.  The type of information we collect and discuss includes:
  • Detailed notes regarding your pet's habits, food, favorite toys, exercise routine, veterinarian, and medical history.
  • A list of locations for pet food, collars, leashes, treats, toys, etc. that we will need to take care of your pet and property.
  • Keys to your home; we prefer one set for the sitter and one set as an office backup copy.  We will confirm the keys work and store them safely in our permanent key safe.  Keys are not labelled with any property information (in case they get lost).  Keyless entry and garage door openers are not sufficient in that they may malfunction or not work if the electricity goes out.
  • Emergency contact information, medical instructions/permission forms, and how to contact you if necessary.
  • We will help you decide how many visits to schedule and the services you will need while you are away.
STEP 3 Upon your review and approval, we ask that you sign a service agreement which describes our policies and guidelines.

STEP 4 After this meeting is completed and we have your information on file, our service is as simple as making a phone call or sending an email.  Your pet's profile will be stored in our computer system which ensures consistent and quality care for your pets and property.

After the Meet & Greet:

STEP 5 Your service request begins.  Daily instructions are carried out.  A note is left on the last day letting you know how everything went.

STEP 6 Service continues until you call to say that you are home.  CALL US AT ANY HOUR!  Please leave us a voicemail to let us know that you have arrived safely at home.

    Things to Remember:

Payment is due before the service.  We accept cash, check, or money order. Existing clients may leave the payment for us to pick up at the first visit.
Cats: Each visit for cats includes fresh food and water, cleaning of the litter box, administration of necessary medications (liquid, pill, or subcutaneous injections), and lots of love and attention to cats that aren't shy.  IMPORTANT: For the safety and security of both your home and your cat(s), we require that cats be visited a minimum of once per day.  No every-other-day visits are accepted.
Dogs: Each visit for dogs includes fresh food and water, a walk with playtime outside, picking up waste, administration of necessary medications, (liquid, pill, or subcutaneous injections), and lots of love and attention for your dog(s).  We do not discriminate against any dogs because of their breed; however, we will not accept dogs that have a history of biting. IMPORTANT:  Since dogs are social creatures, we require that inside dogs be visited a minimum of twice a day, but recommend three visits a day.  Outdoor dogs with adequate shade and shelter will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
All other pets: We will follow your instructions for care.  All pets must be visited at least once per day.  No every-other-day visits are accepted.

We care, when you're not there.
